What you get

Where your prices sit. Your catalogue's price points against your category's 2026 survivor median, and against the 2020 → 2026 trajectory for merchants like you. Most operators have never seen their own pricing plotted against the merchants who are still trading — you find out quickly whether you are the expensive one or the cheap one, and whether that was on purpose.

Whether your range is normal. Your product count against the category benchmark — 170 for apparel, 62 for food and drink, 226 for auto parts — flagged narrow, typical or broad. Plus your catalogue replacement rate, which in most categories matters more than the raw count. The median apparel merchant has replaced 94% of its 2020 range.

What is rotting in your catalogue. This one runs on our own crawl of your storefront, not on modelled data: products with nothing available, listings that have been dead for years, duplicate entries, missing prices. Dead weight scales sharply with catalogue size — it is near zero for small stores and over 5% for stores past 2,000 products. You get the list, so it becomes an afternoon's cleanup instead of a vague worry.

The one thing to do before Q4. A single page. Not a dashboard, not a PDF you skim once — the specific change we would make first if this were our store.

Why now

Merchants lock Q4 pricing and assortment decisions between August and October. An audit delivered in November tells you what you should have done. Ordered by September 15, this leaves time to actually act before Black Friday.

Every audit includes a free October re-run — the same measurements after your changes, so you can see whether they moved you relative to the benchmark while the season is still in front of you.

What it costs

$149. Agencies charge $2,000–5,000 for benchmark work of this shape, and take weeks. We can do it for $149 because the measurement is already built — the same pipeline that produced the report runs your store through it.

Against one mispriced hero SKU over a six-week season, the arithmetic is not close.

The guarantee

If the audit does not surface at least three changes worth making before the holidays, reply to the delivery email and we will refund you in full. No form, no call.

Questions we get

Does this work for a store with 30 products? Yes, and the price and hygiene sections are often more useful at that size — small catalogues are where a single mispriced product moves the whole month.

Is this just the report with my name on it? No. The report is population medians. The audit measures your storefront directly and positions it against the matched cohort for your category.

Where do the numbers come from? Weekly storefront snapshots going back to June 2020, plus our own crawl of your live catalogue. The full method — including its limitations — is published. We would rather you read it first.

Will you sell my data? No. We publish derived aggregates and we never redistribute the underlying records. Your audit is yours.
